Oh - since I'm here, I guess I ought to get going with 2009!
First, wrapup on '08. I would say I did well committing to the composting and recycling. I also became more educated in this area. And, I did better with electricity usage and gasoline usage.
BUT, there's still progress to be made! So, for 2009, the green goals continue . . . . I'm more specific at the start of this year than last though, so the top four green goals for the year are:
1. Plant a veggie garden using "green techniques". Eat them. And, if enough grow, actually try to freeze or can them or something.
2. Do a better job turning off lights and electronics. I do an OK job, although this thing is on and connected 24/7! But, I could get better and my real goal is to try to take some baby steps with the family, getting them to learn about conserving energy.
3. Refurbish my/our cosmetics and toiletries. Get rid of all the crap and make way for natural products.
4. Learn more aobut the concept of carbon offsets and perhaps incorporate it into our budget.
So, there you have it Earth. My/our contribution for 2009.
