It's laundry day again and one more time, I marvel at my children's ability to have only one pink sock in the wash at a time. To what wonderous world do all of those missing socks travel? Not only that, but what do I do with all of these single socks?
It drives me crazy dumping them in the trash, since clearly they are a product that could get reused. But, how?
I asked that question of @waste_diverter on Twitter earlier today and she kindly replied with the following link that demonstrates how all unusable clothing items are recycled by Goodwill:
Not only that, but there are lots of other great videos on the How Stuff Works website if you're trying to find other ways to recycle.
So, bag up those socks, stained Tshirts, and tattered jeans and send them along to Goodwill too because they'll go to good use that way!
